In 2010, we were one of the firsts fertility centres in Germany to introduce the RI-Witness system in addition to our regular safety measures.
It is a computerised monitoring system that documents every work step in our laboratory and actively prevents possible mix-ups. Each sample container is clearly assigned to a patient pair with the help of special stickers. The computer programme automatically recognises whose sample is on the workstation. If samples that do not belong together are brought into the work area, an acoustic and visual alarm is triggered immediately. It is then no longer possible to continue working.
The use of this system in our practice guarantees our patients the highest quality and safety standards.
